Meadowdale Raceway - Slide Presentation

Meadowdale Raceways, located right here in Carpentersville, was once the “Mecca of Auto Racing” in the Midwest.

This remarkable “Grand Prix” race-course attracted just about every well known and famous racer of the time, including the Unser brothers, Mark Donohue, Harry Heuer, Fred Lorenzen and many more.

This 3.27 mile course only lasted for a little more than 12 years. Yet, its fame and interest continues to fascinate tens of thousands around the globe.

Phil Aleo wrote and published the only book ever produced on this track. His book has been sold in the States, Europe, and even Australia.

He will take you through this track’s history from the very beginning to its end, and show you why this track is still unique to this day, over 50 years after its closing.
